Two days after our first meeting, we met for the second time. We were much more efficient on our second meeting as we had distributed the workload before we met for the second time. Ng Ying and Jamie started working on the welcome speech and slides; Roxana, Tze Xuan, Yue Qi and Jia Yi started working on the welcome gift; Dilyn, Lynette and Maxine worked on a Social Studies Lesson Plan with the aim to teach the Vietnamese students the ethnic diversity of Singapore. Maxine, Dilyn and Lynette were working hard to plan a Social Studies lesson. Lesson planning is not as easy as it looks! Teacher Dilyn in action with Maxine and Lynette as her students. :) Roxana and Tze Xuan were working diligently on the welcome gift. Our final product! A group photo of 32 participants and 4 teachers will be placed right in the middle. :) Jamie and Ng Ying on their laptops working on the welcome speech and slides for the speech.
The boys were planning their cheers and games in the background. Although they looked like they were playing around :P, but they were indeed working on their games. We ended our second meeting feeling extremely productive as we had completed of the tasks assigned to us. Looking forward to Meeting #3 on 28th Oct 2014 :) Just a few days after the briefing with the presence of our parents, the 9 of us (girl guides) started our pre-trip preparation. On our very first meeting, we designed and made 35 bookmarks as our parting gifts for the Vietnamese students we are going to meet. :)
